The first thing I needed to do was get the top down, so I preceded to doing just that. The previous owner had covered up a chop job gone bad with bondo 3/4 of a inch thick in some places on the roof. After breaking all the filler out I could now see what I had to work with and it wasn’t good. The only think that might work is to chop it again and take out the bad cuts and welds that the previous hackers did. This would mean removing 2 1/2 inches from the roof that had 3 inches out of it already, oh well the lower the better!
